I love porridge it brings delight and enjoyment to every mouthful and will keep you warm and cozy through cold winter days. In fact I could eat these at anytime of the day.
2 cups water
1 cup gluten free oats – (I used Bob’s Red Mill Old Fashioned Rolled Oats)
1 tsp vanilla essence
handful of strawberries
1 T Rice Malt Syrup
1 T Cacao Nibs
Bring water and oats to a boil. Simmer for 10 minutes and remove from heat.
Transfer to a bowl. Add vanilla and mix through. Top with a drizzle of rice malt syrup, strawberries and cacao nibs
Note: Did you know that Cacao Nibs are a one of the best dietary sources of magnesium and a good source of calcium, iron, copper, zinc and potassium? They are also a good energy boost, mood enhancer and taste great and cacao nibs are cacao beans that have been roasted, separated from their husks and broken into smaller pieces.
