Bitter Sweet Smoothie

Bitter Sweet Smoothie

I have always liked the contrast of sweet’n’sour however this smoothie was more bitter than sour. So if you don’t mind mixing up the taste buds and keeping them fired up! You will love this recipe!

Ingredients:
3 cups coconut water
1 celery stick
6 kale leaves (remove the stems)
Handful of spinach
1 tsp cinnamon
1 apple
1/2 pink grapefruit (peel removed) 

1 small cucumber
1/2 lemon (peel removed)
1 cup chopped watermelon

Thumb size chunk ginger
1 T hemp seeds

Put all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth!

 

*Tip:To ensure that you get a smooth textured smoothie, it is recommended to blend your greens (i.e. spinach, beetroot leaves &) with the liquid first, then add the remaining ingredients.
